ECQA CTM Registration

First Online Course

In globalized knowledge and information societies, specialized language has become a pre-requisite for effective communication, efficient management and flawless interoperability. Terminology and terminology management build an integral part of quality assurance in the preparation of products, services and tools in the fields of:

  • Information and communication,
  • Classification and categorization,
  • Translation and localization.

As ECQA-certified training partner, BIK Terminology, will be offering the first ECQA Certified Terminology Manager—Basic in an online format.

Date
The online platform, Moodle, will be opened to participants on January 1, 2012. Students will be able to access the platform on their own time, view presentation videos, and study reading material. In addition, we will meet virtually for five 1.5-hour webinars, one each week for five weeks.

Certification
Participants have to present a terminology topic of their choice (Unit 5); in addition, they have to take an exam and pass the individual learning elements with at least 66%. The exam is taken electronically, using randomized questions from a central pool of multiple choice exam questions.

UNIT 5: APPLICATION SCENARIOS (applies only to participants seeking certification)

  • Presentation of your own project (10 slides max.)
